Scanning & Digitizing

From a single sheet to a whole binder – for offices, clubs, practices and home, up to DIN A3, searchable on request

Get a quote

A binder full of contracts, the quarter's receipts, a book you need in digital form, or that one signed form that has to go out as a PDF today: we scan your documents up to DIN A3 — full service, discreet and, if you like, as a searchable PDF.

What we scan

  • Contracts, files and binders: single sheets or whole binders, in the order you hand them in
  • Books and bound documents: course readers, minute books, bound reports — hand them in just as they are
  • Drawings and plans up to DIN A3: sketches, drafts, technical drawings
  • Paper photos and old documents: photos, letters, certificates you want preserved for good
  • Single pages for applications, university and authorities: signed forms, certificates, proofs — as a PDF you can upload or attach right away

Full service: you drop off, we do the rest

You won't be standing at the machine yourself. Bring your documents — one sheet or a box full — and we scan them for you, split the way you need them: one file per document, one per binder, or everything in one. Just tell us how you want to use the files later.

Searchable PDF (OCR)

On request we run text recognition right away. Your scan is then not just an image but a PDF you can search, highlight and copy text from. How well that works depends on the original: clearly printed text works very well; handwriting, faint copies or unusual typefaces only to a limited extent. We'll tell you honestly what to expect from your documents.

Who we scan for

  • Offices & freelancers: receipts and invoices for bookkeeping or the tax advisor, contracts, HR and project documents — as PDFs you can search and file
  • Clubs: minutes, chronicles, membership records and club files that need to move from the binder into a digital archive
  • Practices & law firms: files, expert reports and correspondence — as discreet as our patient records printing
  • Construction & architecture: plans, drawings and project files up to DIN A3
  • Events: registrations, attendance lists and feedback forms after the conference — bundled into one file or one per sheet
  • Universities & schools: course readers, exam material, signed forms for digital submission
  • Private: application documents, certificates for official requests, letters and photos for the family archive

How you get your files

By email, on your USB stick or any other way we agree on beforehand. With many pages or high resolution the files get big quickly — then the stick is usually the easiest way. Your originals go back home with you, of course.

For business customers: invoice with VAT shown, volume pricing on request — for example for digitizing receipts or files on a regular basis. More on the business customers page.

Handled discreetly

Contracts, files or personal documents are a matter of trust. So at our shop:

  • We only take note of what is technically necessary for scanning.
  • Scans are deleted from our systems once the job is done and you have your files.
  • Your order is discussed with you and no one else.

From the scan back onto paper

Scanning isn't a one-way street here: if you need printouts or copies from the digital file again, we do that in the same visit — black & white or color. And when you want to send us a large file later, our guide on sending large files shows the easiest way.

Frequently asked questions

Up to which format can you scan?

Up to DIN A3 — from small cards to contracts, drawings and A3 plans.

Do I get a searchable PDF (OCR)?

Usually yes: on request we run text recognition, so you can find words by searching. How reliably that works depends on the original — clearly printed text works very well; handwriting, faint copies or unusual typefaces only to a limited extent.

Do I have to feed the pages myself?

No. Scanning is full service at our shop: you hand in your documents — a single sheet, a binder or a whole book — and pick up the finished files.

How do I get my files?

By email, on your USB stick or any other way we agree on beforehand. With many pages the stick is usually the easiest way.

What happens to my documents and data?

We only take note of what is technically necessary for scanning, and we delete the scans from our systems once the job is done. Your originals go back home with you.

Can you digitize photos or old documents too?

Yes — paper photos, old letters, certificates or drawings up to DIN A3 are scanned just like contracts and files.
