Patient records: printing & copying

Printed, copied and bound with discretion

Get a quote

These days your doctor or hospital usually hands over your patient records digitally – as a PDF or on CD. For your lawyer, an expert reviewer, your insurer or a second opinion you then need them on paper after all: cleanly printed, complete and properly organized. That's exactly what we do – reliably and discreetly.

Handled with discretion

Patient records are as personal as a document gets. So this is how we work:

  • We print your records without taking note of their content – we only see what's technically necessary for printing.
  • Digital files are deleted from our systems once the job is done.
  • Your order is discussed with you and no one else.

From CD, USB stick or PDF

Hospitals usually hand out records on a CD – just bring it along, our in-store computers have a drive. Important: many of these CDs are password-protected. Bring the password (it's often in the cover letter) – without it the records can't be opened, not even by us. PDFs travel by USB stick or via the contact form; for very large files, use a share link with a password – our guide to sending large files shows how.

Printing, copying and binding

Records quickly run to several hundred pages. We print black & white or color (for imaging results, for example), on request double-sided – which halves the stack. And so nothing gets out of order, we can bind the records: ring binding for easy leafing, or a firm cover for handing over to a lawyer or expert. We also copy paper records.

Good to know: your right to your records

As a patient you're entitled to access your treatment records – and the practice must hand over the first copy free of charge (Art. 15 GDPR, § 630g German Civil Code). What you do with your copy is your business: for the printed second set, the bound copy for an expert opinion or a backup, we're here.

For practices and law firms

Medical practices, law firms and expert reviewers print and copy with us too – from a single set of records to larger jobs, with a proper invoice. More on our business customers page – or just talk to us.

Frequently asked questions

Will my records stay confidential?

Yes. We don't take note of the content, discuss the job with you only, and delete digital files from our systems once the job is done.

My records are on a CD – can you open it?

Yes, our in-store computers have a drive. Remember the password: hospital CDs are usually protected, and without the password the records can't be opened – it's often in the cover letter.

How do I send you a large PDF?

Up to 3 MB via the contact form; larger records are best shared as a password-protected link – our guide to sending large files shows how.

Can you print double-sided and bind the records?

Yes – double-sided halves the stack, and bound (ring binding or a firm cover) everything stays in order, for a lawyer or reviewer for example.

How fast will they be ready?

Even several hundred pages are usually done quickly – tell us when you need them and we'll plan reliably.

What does it cost?

That depends on page count, color and binding. Ask with the key figures – you'll quickly get a free quote.
