Three embossed hardcovers from our copyshop: blue with gold, black and blue with silver embossing – “Bachelorarbeit” and “Bachelor Thesis”

Months of work deserve a worthy finish. At our shop on Jakobstraße you print and bind your thesis without stress: upload your file or bring it in, choose a binding, pick it up — and grab a coffee for the final proofreading round on your way out.

How it works

  1. Upload your file: Send us your PDF via the contact form — or come by with your storage medium.
  2. Choose a binding: From embossed hardcover to wire ring binding. We'll honestly advise what fits the occasion and your budget.
  3. Print & bind: We print in clean quality and bind your work carefully.
  4. Pick it up: We'll let you know as soon as everything is ready — term papers with ring binding are often ready to take away right after.

Which work are you printing?

Every kind of work has its own requirements — so each one has its own overview:

Which binding for which thesis?

  • Bachelor's and Master's thesis: hardcover in dark blue, wine red or black, embossed in gold or silver on request — with the type of work in English (“Bachelor Thesis”, “Master Thesis”) or German, plus your name, university and title. The classic for the examination office and your own bookshelf.
  • Term and seminar papers: wire ring or comb binding — quick, affordable and neat.
  • Dissertation or multiple copies: talk to us, we'll plan quantities and deadlines together.

Always check your examination office's requirements first.

Why us?

  • In the heart of Weimar: Jakobstraße 6 — a short walk from campus and the city center.

Frequently asked questions

Which binding is right for my thesis?

For Bachelor's and Master's theses the embossed hardcover is the classic; for term papers a wire ring or comb binding is usually enough. Check your examination office's requirements to be sure — and see our guide to choosing a binding.

What can be embossed on the cover?

The type of work — in English (“Bachelor Thesis”, “Master Thesis”) or German — plus your name, university or school, and the title. Embossing comes in gold or silver, and the hardcover in several colors such as dark blue, wine red and black.

How fast will my thesis be ready?

Term papers with ring binding are often done while you wait. Allow a bit more time for embossed hardcovers — if your deadline is close, call us first: +49 3643 9009863.

Is there a student discount?

Yes! Just show your student ID. Our customers happily confirm that printing with us costs no more than at the university.

Which file format should I hand in?

Ideally a PDF with embedded fonts. Just upload it via our contact form — how to export a clean print PDF is covered in our print-ready files guide.

Do I need extra margin for the binding?

No. We print your thesis 1:1 – nothing is trimmed or scaled down, your page margins stay exactly as you set them. The usual examination-office margins (mostly 2–3 cm, often a bit more on the left) already account for the binding: ring binding punches into the left margin, and hardcover and perfect binding take up a few millimeters in the spine.

How many copies do I have to hand in?

Your examination regulations decide – in Thuringia it ranges from digital-only submission (Uni Erfurt) to three bound copies plus a file (Bauhaus-Universität, TU Ilmenau). All ten universities compared in our guide to thesis submission in Thuringia has the overview.

Is the declaration of authorship bound in?

Yes – bring the signed declaration or include it in your file and we'll bind it in firmly. Many universities require exactly that.
